Unknown Destiny

I have decided that while I am in the editing process, I would post up my novel, part by part on deviantart!  Please note, when the novel is finished and in the process of being published, it will be taken down.

This is part one, which I have just posted up.  You do not need to be a member to read this one, but the next part has an explicit scene it, which requires that I do the necessary precautions that those under 18 do not read it.  Which means that you will have to be a member in order to read some of the parts.

Etsy, NaNoWriMo, and Granny in Style: Around the World

I have three things I would like to talk about today.  The first being Etsy.  I have set up my own shop on Etsy in order to sell items that I have made.  If you would like to check out what I have in there at the moment this is the link: http://www.etsy.com/shop/schidi

Note, the shop has not been updated in a couple of months, so I am currently in the process of adding more items to it as well as updating other information.  Please feel free to look whenever you want to though~

In my previous posts, I have mentioned NaNoWriMo and how I was hoping to be a winner this year.  Well, I obtained winner status at 50,002 words.  For now, my novel is being set to the side while I take care of Christmas presents that need to be made.  I do plan on finishing and publishing my novel sometime next year hopefully, after which, I will be starting on the sequel to the novel.

And last, but not least, there is a blog that I stumbled across one day.  Link: http://grannyinstyle.blogspot.com/p/around-world.html.  I feel that this is a wonderful idea that Nina has come up with.  Her goal is to get a square from each state that shows how people are the same/different.  What is she going to do with the squares?  She is going to turn them into a blanket~

So please check out her blog, and it would be even more wonderful if you were to participate to help her out.

Anyways, that is all that I have to talk about for now.  Bye~

Update

I am on track for NaNoWriMo with a total of 40,162 words.  That means only 9,838 words to go.  :D  I started off strong at the beginning, however, around half way through I encountered writers block.  Not only that, but my laptop was pretty much out of commission for a few days.  Once I got it back, I have had to work my butt off in order to get back on track.

NaNoWriMo update

I am officially 10 days into nano.  My grand total at the moment is 22,044 words in my novel titled "Unknown Destiny"

My novel is a fantasy novel.  Don't expect any explanations though as it is quite hard to describe.  I can tell you however, that my characters are all Zoenthropes.  In this case, they are humanoid figures with fox ears, and a fox tail.

Not only that, but they live in an alternate land and their lives are similar to those of the Native Americans.  Currently, I have two tribes.  The Dragonian Tribe, and the Trigon Tribe who are currently in a state of unstable peace.  War is imminent between the two tribes.

I plan on ending my first novel of the series with the war about to begin, making way for the sequel which is unamed, and not being thought too much about seeing as I have 21 more days to write this current novel.  As time goes on, I plan on keeping you updated.  :)

NaNoWriMo!

So I decided that I am crazy recently because I am going to attempt National Novel Writing Month again this year.  What it is: You have the month of November to write 50,000 (could be more) words of a novel.  What is the reward you ask?  The fact that you have written a complete, or mostly complete novel.  Some people do go on to get published afterwords.  You also get to meet people in your area that love to write as well, leading to wonderful support for all!  It is like your own personal cheering section.  I'm quite happy to have my newish laptop that doesn't have to be plugged in 24/7 to use this time around.  Last time, doing write-ins wasn't fun because if there wasn't any plugs available, I couldn't even write.  *sighs*  But that is all better now!  *happy dance*

I plan to keep my blog updated with my process, including a word count of how far I have gotten as well as where I am at in my novel.

Uber Excited!

I applied last month for a position at Erica's, a local craft store to teach crochet.  Well, I just got a call that they want me to come in for an interview this week!  I have to bring in some items that I have crocheted and they want to go over what they want taught crochet wise.  In other words, sounds like I am a strong candidate for the position.  Now I just have to wait for them to call me so that we can arrange the interview!  :D

Well, I have set up my own Etsy shop where items that I make are going to be up for sale.  ^^

Awesome News!

I have some stuff that I had sewn at a local consignment shop.  A lady saw it and asked who had made it.  She is looking for somebody to work on costuming for her variety show, and called me!  So now, I'm waiting for her to call me sometime next week to find out more and to find out a good time to come over next week to see the costumes.

Projects galore

I have so many projects going on, I need to get stuff finished before I start anything new....@.@  Here is a list of what I am working on right now:

1.  Scarf for my mom
2.  Dishcloth that I am currently working on
3.  Tunic for my cosplay as Link
4.   Rug for use in the future
5.  Crocheted blanket
6.  Knitted blanket
7.  Cross stitch of a butterfly

Now I just need to find the time to get all of them finished.  The dishcloth will be the fist to be completed since I am almost done with it.  But I need to figure out what order I am going to do everything else in...><

*Update:  I am finished with the dish cloth, and did an entire other one today.

Latest Project

I have been working on a fun new project.  Well, actually, a LOT of new projects.  Currently, I am working on knitting up dishcloths to give away as Christmas Presents.  :D  I am also working on a blanket for myself, and a nice rug to throw on the floor (which I am crocheting).  Later on, I will post the pattern that I am using for my blanket when I have more of it worked out.  Just to warn you though, it involves using dpns.  I have also completed the hat for my Link costume.  I will be posting a picture as well as a pattern when I have more time.  ~pic is now up~

Been away

I haven't been posting lately due to a variety of issues.  I doubt anybody reads my blog yet anyways to be honest.  However, I am making a vow to write something everyday on this blog with the hope that one day people will be reading it.  :3

Hey again! :)

I figured that I should post up pics of what I have made so far.  Currently I have been knitting a lot of different colored star fish to sell.  The one up above was given away to a little girl while I was on the train to Chicago.  I will be posting a different picture every day as to avoid overdoing the pictures.

Hello!

I figured the best way to start off this blog is to say hello.  As the title of this blog implies, I am a chic that loves to knit.  My senior year of high school, I taught myself how to knit.  Not only do I knit, but I also sew, crochet and cross stitch.

The focus of my blog will be on knitting.  However, I will take detours once in a while to sewing and crocheting.  I hope that as I grow, my blog here will grow with me.  Not only that, but that whoever reads this will gain something as well.
