Patterns

I am excited to say that I have a couple of patterns that I am currently working on.  One is for a pair of fingerless gloves.  I'll be writing out the pattern for working them in the round, as well as for working them flat.  I'll be putting that up for free.

I have a Cthulhu hat pattern that I am currently working on writing out, that will be a pattern that I intend to sell.

And then there is my Link hat pattern.  There are some wonderful ladies who have agreed to test it for me, and I am in the process of writing it so that the pattern is a bit more clear and easier to understand, though I don't think very much tweaks will be needed.  :)

Crafty Business/NaNoWriMo 2012

I am excited to say that I'm starting to get commissions.  I have two that I'm working on at the moment that are pretty exciting for me.  Of course, I'll hopefully get around to posting up pictures when they are both finished.  :)

As for NaNoWriMo 2012, I am one of 2 ML's for my region.  This will be my first time doing this and I'm pretty excited.  As ML, I will be arranging meet-ups, writing pep talks, and helping out people in general with their novel.  Looking forward to it, and will be interesting to see how it goes now that I have a little one to look after.

More updates to come!

Corset and updates

I have been really busy the past few months with my little boy, who I love to pieces!  He is going to be 3 months old soon, which I can't believe.  Seems like it was just yesterday that I had brought him home from the hospital.  *sighs*  Anyways, hopefully now that things are finally settling down for us, I'll be better about posting.  I know, I know, I've said that I would be better about posting more, and it has yet to happen.  :/

Anyways, my current project is a corset that I am making for myself.  This thing has taken a lot of time, and I'm still not finished with it!  Materials that I am using: Brocade fabric for the fashion side, Cotton blend for the lining, plastic boning (when I have the funds, it will be replaced with steel boning), bias tape, black 2 piece eyelets, black lace, gold metallic thread, and black sewing thread.

Life in general

Things have been very interesting for the past few months.  As of right now, I am 31 weeks pregnant.  In another 2 months, there will be a little bundle of joy in my life!  The baby is developing very well and the doctors say that he/she seems to be healthy.  So that is a good thing.

I am currently working on a baby blanket for the baby.  It is blue and white.  When I find out the gender, I will do the border.  If it is a boy, it will be green.  If it is a girl, it will be pink.  I intend to post pictures up eventually.  As for when that happens.  Who knows!

Fold-Over Mitten-Gloves

One of my goals for the year is to knit a pair of mittens.  Well, I couldn't decide which ones to do, so now I am doing a pair of mitten-gloves.  They are the ones that have the individual spots for the fingers, but have the flap that goes over to make them look like mittens.  I will be posting up some pictures later on of what I have done when there is enough done to tell what it is going to look like somewhat.

On a side note, Ani-Fi has been cancelled.  *sadness*  There was not enough interest sadly, so it has been moved to next year.  Hopefully enough people will become interested in it for next year so that it will happen.  Will just have to wait and see though.

Anime Convention

I am so happy to see that there is going to be an Anime Convention in my home town this year!  Which means that I will be able to go and not have to worry about any traveling expenses~

What is even more awesome is I am going to rent a table so that I can sell items that I have made and hopefully make a decent amount of money.  For those of you who might be wondering which convention it is, it is the Ani-Fi convention.  Linky:Ani-Fi

As of right now, I have two starfish completed, with enough legs to make two more.  I plan on making at least 20 of them altogether, though I don't know how well they will sell to be honest....Anywho, I also plan on having hats, scoodies, bracelets, and even cute little mushrooms, some of will be filled with catnip~
